There is a peace that gives us the need to romanticize our violence
It’s a mad descent but environment dictates
There is a fear that keeps me here and justifies my silence
I can’t condone but if I’m safe then I’ll live with your hate
There is an anger that has been buried deeply inside me
When it’s unleashed it’s indiscriminate
There is an evil that I’ve taught myself as necessary
I rationalize but can’t quite feel human
There’s an ideology and it’s so sadistic
Propagated as if it’s the only way
There’s a mythology that rings apocalyptic
The irony is that warning breeds Judgement Day
There is a hope that all of this bloodshed is for the better
I turn away and keep it out of mind
There is a truth that this cycle continues on forever
We either face it or watch the world die
